Ahmad Tea 杏桃日出風味紅茶包 - 20入

I was hesitant about apricot in black tea, but the Malawi and Kenyan blend gives it a nice malty base instead of tasting like fake fruit. Two bags in one mug makes it strong enough to cut through milk without going bitter.

I steeped one of these bags for about four minutes and the apricot scent filled the whole kitchen before I even took a sip. The flavor is soft and fruity without being overly sweet, and it doesn't turn bitter if I forget and leave the bag in.

The apricot flavor comes through nicely without being too sweet, and the Kenyan and Malawian black tea base gives it a solid backbone. I do wish the apricot were a touch stronger, since it fades a bit once you add milk. Still, a really pleasant cup for the price.
